  • Will have an opportunity to (in person or virtually) visit the state capital, speak to legislators, submit testimony, give testimony, attend rally’s or be among many supporting this movement.
  • Commitment period: One year for high school, college students and parents.
  • Will have an opportunity to join the Community Table Membership.

CAPACES Movement Building Fellows

The Oregon Community Table on Postsecondary Education and Training is excited to have developed an intern program who work in partnership with education and community partners to identify students who can join our team and become a CAPACES Movement Building Fellows. This internship opportunity provides learning and leadership development opportunities for youth involved in the TURNO program and college students attending any of Oregon’s accredited institutions.

We seek interns who will help support the work of OCTPET and spread the word on how community-led work can change systems and be prepared to work in a combination of environments, including working as a team and independently.

Our Movement Building Fellows will finish the internship with broad experience in various aspects of organizing community meetings, event planning and networking, the art of doing interviews, understanding how the Oregon Legislative Information System works, how the public postsecondary system works, and how a community can impact policy and systemic changes.

For information on applying to the Movement Building Fellows program please email us and indicate your interest in applying for an intern position.
