Program Partnerships & Collaborations

Prior to the Anahuac project becoming an official program of CLI, our youth participated in activities at their farm in McMinnville. Our relationship has flourished ever since and our youth continue to participate in the Anahuac program’s offerings such as tequios, ceremonies, and hands-on educational activities that create space for our youth to (re)connect to Mother Earth and their ancestral practices.

From 2020 – 2024, TURNO and Anahuac collaborated with Mexico’s Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE) to present monthly showings of movies and documentaries to celebrate our culture and expose the power of who we are and where we come from with indigenous and afro-descendent storytelling and cinema.

Latinos Unidos Siempre  (LUS)  works towards youth’s educational, cultural, and political development through leadership development and grassroots organizing while fighting against institutional oppression. Our youth participated in LUS’ summer workshops and learned from other youth about pressing issues affecting our communities.

Juntos Para Una Mejor Educación Program (Together for a Better Education) is an OSU Extension Open Campus Program that empowers Latin students and families around education. From 2021 to 2022, we provided a six-week series of workshops to engage our youth and their families in pursuing high school graduation and higher education enrollment.
